{Memorial Day}

On Memorial Day we ate sushi. yum yum. Tanner was very persistent about wanting to eat sushi. It's our favorite place only because of the conveyor belt. All varieties of sushi strol by us and we pick the one's we want. Tanner wanted to eat little squids. So, he did.

 Some shrimp sushi...
 This is my favorite sushi. Salmon with onions on top. Very good.
 Tanner eating squid...He took the meat off the rice and just ate it raw, alone, by itself. I don't like is that much to do that. I need my rice with it, wasabi and soy sauce. :)

He wanted to try sardines. He didn't like it. haha! It nearly made me sick when i realized it was sitting in front of me because i could smell a strong fish smell coming from it. yuck.

 Then we went to the beach and explored the tidal pools and played in the sand and water.
 Then we went home to clean up and went to the beach right behind our friends house. We had a fire and roasted hot dogs and made smores. It was such a fun day for all of us...
 And the weather that day was perfect!!! Warm enough to get in the water, but not soooo hot that you couldn't handle it. The sunset was gorgeous!!!

{Hello, long time no talk}

Hey there, it's been awhile since i have blogged. I have almost forgotten about this blog world. haha! Life is just busy around here lately. I find myself filling my hours with things to do, and i just don't think of my blog.

Not much has changed in our lives , and not many exciting things to announce or to fill you in on.  Because of that i will just fill you in on the LITTLE things in our lives.

1. I know about 12 people who are pregnant. Not kidding. We often feel like we are done having kids, but its hard watching everyone around us get pregnant. It makes me question myself and what i think i want and what i think i don't want. It certainly is a good way to figure things out, by watching other people. :)

2. The boys have their last basketball game this Saturday. Tanner made his FIRST basket of the season last saturday. I was so excited for him! He was proud of himself. He doesn't usually show it at first, but about 10 seconds later he will look over at me and give me a big smile. He tries to wait until he knows all eyes are off of him. :) Gavin makes shots every game. He reminds me of a basketball player who makes their shot and then stays cool and runs back down the court. It's fun watching them play. This summer i will put them in swim lessons, and then we have soccer season coming up this fall. I can't wait for soccer. It's my favorite. :)

3.The humidity has made its presence known again here in Okinawa. This morning i woke up to our windows covered in condensation. When i go outside my hair poofs up, and when i lock the front door its dripping(on the outside) with water from the humidity. You have never experienced humidity like Okinawa humidity. I have experienced humidity in all parts of the united states. It doesn't compare.  When i stepped outside this morning i felt like i was stepping into a steam room. haha!

4.We have a new system in our house. If we can read the Book of Mormon consistently, 50 days in a row, then we told the boys we would take them somewhere, kind  of like a small vacation, to reward them and ourselves. We are on day 10. 40 more to go.

5. I have been working on my geneology. I  have had a desire to work on it for YEARS, but finally got the process started when i was at my parents home in April. I love it, and its amazing how many names i have found. I somehow feel this connection that i can't describe while i am doing my geneology.

I really need to go clean and get some stuff done. I really HOPE to get some pictures up soon. promise.
