{Summer livin is easy}

We are really loving summer time here. Life is easy right now. No rushing in the mornings, no rushing in the afternoon, no deadlines, no homework, no sports(except for passing the football to each other all the time), no nothing. Just play. I thought it would be easy when i had one in school, but it's really busy in fact. Who knew. ha! Our summer days consist of waking up whenever we feel like it, lounging around, working out(the boys like to workout with me to my videos or go to the track to run), reading(Gavin reads to us and i read to them), going to the pool or beach, playing games, watching movies, or going outside to play. Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to recently...

Here we are on our way to Okuma Beach Resort. It's one of our favorite spots. It's just beautiful. My three boys. I love em so much.Gavin's eyes look so blue here!
 The boys went outside to ride their bikes, but they always get distracted by bugs. They LOVE bugs. They like to torture bugs, play with bugs, look at bugs. It just depends on what type of bug it is.  This bug below is a stick bug they found. They played with it for a few minutes and then i made them find a tree to put him back in. Life is very different with boys than it is with girls, i am sure.
 Here we are at Kadena Marina Beach. We have beach days once a week with our friends.  We played here for 2 1/2 hours. The boys love wearing their goggles and looking at what is under the water. I wish we could live here long enough to get them scuba certified. I know Gavin and Tanner would LOVE it. They absolutely LOVE animals that live in the water. They like to read about them and watch our videos about them.
 Gavin taking a break to snack on some watermelon....
 That's Tanner out there staring at me with his goggles on. He is so funny. He could keep his head under water all day looking for fish. He LOVES the water. He is a little fish...

{Too funny}

I have a few new posts under this one. These pictures truly make me LAUGH. And what's really funny about these is that each pose totally shows their personality. Go through each picture just looking at Gavin, then go back to the top and focus on Tanner in all the pictures, then go back to the top and go through just looking at Jaydon. It's so funny to me. Gavin is the crazy, wild, wants to be the center of attention boy. He has some of the craziest and funny poses. Tanner doesn't mind not being center of attention , and is the type that you overlook sometimes because his other brother is so crazy, but if you notice him in each picture it totally cracks me up. I love it. Jaydon...well, he is thinking too much in all these pictures. He is focused and thinking. :) haha! I love my boys. They really gave me a good laugh while taking all these pictures.

{More pictures of our adventures}

Before Shane's parents arrived we went to White Beach and stayed the night in a camper.  The night before the boys went to a father son outing, and i went to a mother daughter night's out.  They went to the camper and Jaydon and i arrived late. Jaydon had to come with me to the girl's night out. Much to Shane's dismay, Jaydon had painted toenails and got his flip flops all jazzed up. He really loved it though. Anyway, this picture is from White Beach and our camper is just to the right of the camera.
 For Jaydon's THIRD birthday, just a day after grandma and grandpa arrived...we rented a bouncy house for the kids to play in. They give you the option to pick up or have them deliver. We didin't realize how large it would be. It almost didn't fit into the back of our van, even with all the seats down. And it completely sunk our van to the ground. It was probably one inch away from bottoming out. It was hilarious. And when it took five to six guys to put it in our van, i quickly realized "how are WE supposed to get this in our backyard?!"  We ended up paying them to get it out of our van and put it in our backyard. haha!
 The boys had a blast! And i started considering buying one because they were out there playing in it the ENTIRE time, except for night time. :)
 Jaydon's THIRD birthday. This picture is priceless. I made him homemade pizza for his meal.
 Tanner graduated from preschool when grandma and grandpa were here. He was so proud. He loved preschool with his four other friends, TayloR, Quincy, Audrey, and Josephine. They are such good kids. I can't believe tanner is starting kindergarten this fall. It's only going to be Jaydon and I. And then the next year he will be in preschool. I am getting old.
 Our special beach down south.  The tide is very low right now, if you can't tell.  And even then you can see the nice tidal pool down there that we can swim in. It's awesome.

 It's almost like a maze with all the rock formations you can go around. It's beautiful.
 And of course, hermit crabs. We love to find hermit crabs. Recently we found one of the biggest we have ever seen. Not this one, although he was a bigger one too. The one we did find was probably as big as a fist the size of a fist between my size and shane's. It was awesome.

{Update}

We have been up to a bit since my last post.
Jaydon turned THREE years old.
I turned 31 Years old! yikes!
Tanner graduated preschool.
Grandma and Grandpa Jenks came to Okinawa and stayed with us for almost 2 weeks.
And below are some more pics of things we have been up to.

This picture is at the airport just after saying goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa. Tanner and Gavin were sad. Tanner was crying.
 Here we are at the Museum at Peace Prayer Park. Right behind us are the suicide cliffs where MANY many citizens jumped from during the war. At the bottom of the cliffs is the ocean. This is the very south tip of the island.  This picture is just after we finished going through the museum. It was a really good museum and i really enjoyed walking through it. I love learning the history here. We took Shane's parents here with us.  Gavin isn't in this picture because he was at school.
 We took Shane's parents snorkeling...
 Here we are at a special beach. At low tide it has very large tidal pools big enough to swim in. It's a perfect spot. We found some interesting sea creatures in there. Here is one of the starfish we found.
 Gavin had speech night at school a few days before school was out. He memorized Shel Silversteins "Stone Telling". He did a really good job. We were proud of him.
 I have some more pictures of our events the past few weeks on my camera.  I will post those when i get the chance.

Other events....
1. We had a category 4 typhoon headed right for us. Just before it reached us it died to a category 3 and moved more to the east than expected. There is now another typhoon developing and heading our way, but as of right now it's not a big one.
2. Shane and I were FINALLY going to make it to the Kerama Islands with our friends for a day trip of snorkeling. Unfortunately the sea conditions were dangerous so it was cancelled. :( boo. I was sad about that. BUT we rescheduled for July 5th and hope that works out. :)
3. We finally have a new system for chores that's working great. They each have their own paper with a list of their daily chores for the week. They mark them off daily, and at the end of the day they earn a ticket if all their chores got done. We give bonus tickets when we notice something extra they did in the day that we didn't ask of them.  We pull the treasure box out everyday.  There are a variety of toys and candies, and even money that cost a certain amount of tickets.  They can either save their tickets up to get a bigger prize or they can use their ticket at the end of each day for a small prize. It's up to them. It's fun watching them decide what to buy with their tickets. Gavin decided NOT to get a prize at the end of the days, and is saving his tickets for a big prize that he will be able to get tomorrow night as long as he earns his tickets. It's fun for them and nice for mommy. :)
4. Gavin is finally out of school. Right now i don't have my daily activities scheduled. I think they are just enjoying waking up without having to hurry and get ready for school, and just playing with each other. I know that will get boring for them soon and they will want a set plan of things to do this summer. I am excited to take them to the beach and pool often.
