Enjoying our freshly squeezed juices...
This is the THING in Thailand, apparently.
Our table we sat at for lunch at our resort.
Our first day in Chiang Mai we took a bike tour. It was really cool because we were able to see the backroads of Chiang Mai that we wouldn't otherwise see.
On the bike tour we made our first stop at a temple...
Our tour guide explained a lot to us about monks while we were in here.
Riding our bikes through some homes where they take care of disabled people who wouldn't otherwise be able to take care of themselves. They hook them up with housing, although the conditions still were not good by any means. But for these people i am sure it was great and i am sure they were thankful.
We rode by rice fields and saw the workers out there doing there job. It was beautiful country!! We found out they get paid about 300 baht per day. That's about $10 a day.
This fruit is called Jack fruit...
Riding through crops....I wanted to run in the crops and figure out what every fruit and veggie was and pick some and eat it.We stopped to feed the fish...
And we stopped to eat some food and drink some drinks. We discovered the fruit Mangasteen while here. It's this awesome fruit that tastes fabulous. This is it below...
You can just tear it open with your hands and you will discover these pearly white pieces of fruit like here below.... then you eat! yum!!
This picture above is shane getting his first taste of all the massages that are in his future...haha
This picture below is the Night Bazaar. It's a night market where all the sides of the road are lined with vendors.... this is also where you can find tons of places for massages where you can get 30 minute massages for just a couple dollars. We got ourselves two massages nightly...some 30 minute massages, and some 1 hour. We loved it.
Shane went to get some custom made suits. It's a great deal here in Thailand so he took advantage of it. And they look sooooooo good on him! His other one was so big on him from all the weight he lost, and these fit him sooooo nicely. :)
Our nightly massages looked like this....
Another temple we saw on our bike tour our 2nd day...
