{Weekend Adventures}

Jaydon fell asleep on our ride up north.
Dacholand(Ostrich land).  We went in to feed the ostrich's, and it was pretty funny what we found.
It took us a minute to figure out how we were supposed to feed them. We would hand them the whole plant. Really, we were supposed to hold on tight to the plant while they pulled the leaves off.
We didn't figure that out until they would start gagging and struggling with getting the stick stuck in their throats. It was so funny. Example below. haha! They were fine, don't worry. It was just a struggle for them and it was hilarious watching them trying to get it out.
We found a random turkey, and his female mate. The whole time he was sounding his call and puffing himself up.

Gavin trying to feed the ostrich a stick. He wasn't going for it. ha ha
We really made this one upset. He kept ruffling up his feathers and hissing at us.

We also found a random lower body manniquin(sp?). haha! weird. The boys stopped and looked and were like "What the?"
We visited the Churaumi Aquarium. It was a beautiful day for it. They have TONS of beautiful flowers everywhere. And they arrange them all so beautifully to make designs, and up tall walls, and forming them into sea animal shapes. The day was just perfect.

Our favorite this time was the Sea Turtles. We also saw baby turtles. They were so cute. These sea turtles are huge!

We went to the cherry blossom festival.
We went to Pizza in the Sky. I LOVE this spot. Good food and a great atmosphere. The owners have this house up on the hill with the ocean as their beautiful background. They have their cute little pizza restaurant right next to their home. It's such a cute perfect spot. The first time it was just shane and I. This time we took the boys. We all loved it.
Japanese pizza! It's good. And so is the salad.

 The front entrance...
As we were leaving, we looked out and over on the mountain next to us it was lit up with lights.
We did the cherry blossom festival at night time. Odd you say. BUT it was the best time. Seriously. It wasn't crowded at all. It's this small road that you drive on up to the top of this small mountain. The blossom trees line each side of the road all the way up. It was a gift the USA gave to the japanese after the war. They had lanterns lighting the whole way up. We rolled down the windows, and it was the most peaceful ride i have experienced in quite awhile. We could see the cherry blossoms, and occasionally stopped to get a closer look. It was just beautiful and awesome. I am so glad we did it at night.
Shane and I really indulge in lots of fun after the boys go to bed. haha! This time we roasted marshmallows over the stove and had some smores. It was awesome. :)

Here is Gavin's derby car that he designed and painted all by himself. It is really good , i think.
When we arrived to the derby we had to add tons of weight. We added coins. haha!
It was such a fun weekend! One of the best we have had in a long time. :)
